私は、19世紀後半にこのオーナメントが誕生した当時と、できる限り同じ空気感を持つものを作りたいと考えています。
そのため、使用する素材も当時の製法を頑なに守り続けているものをできる限り厳選しています。
例えば、作品に深い表情を与える「ガラスグリッター」や「グラスアイ」。これらは今でも伝統的な技法を継承しているドイツの職人から直接取り寄せている、本物の資材です。
特にグラスアイは、大量生産の機械で作られたものではありません。ドイツの工房で、職人が一点ずつ「吹きガラス」の技法で命を吹き込んだものです。
一つとして同じものがないその瞳は、オーナメントに宿る独特の静かな息遣いを生み出してくれます。

At Little Tale Box, the materials I select for my spun cotton ornaments are chosen with an uncompromising commitment to authenticity.
My vision is to recreate the same atmosphere that surrounded these ornaments when they first appeared in the late 19th century. To achieve this, I use only materials produced through traditional methods that remain as faithful as possible to the original craftsmanship of that era.
For instance, the "glass glitter" and "glass eyes" that give each piece its profound expression are authentic supplies sourced directly from German artisans who still preserve age-old techniques.
The glass eyes, in particular, are not products of mass-produced machinery. They are individually hand-blown by skilled craftsmen in a German studio. Because no two eyes are exactly alike, they bestow each ornament with a unique, quiet soul and a distinct presence.
